This weekend Port Southern will be visiting the Junior League of High Point, NC for their annual Kentucky Derby Day Party held at the Briles House in downtown High Point. The Derby Day party will be a great time celebrating this years Kentucky Derby, and we are happy to take part in raising money for community outreach projects for High Point.
If you haven't gotten your ticket for the event, be sure to see one of the Junior League members, and if you don't you will be missing out on some great Port Southern gifts and having some fun.
I also wanted to share with you all something very special that myself and Jeremy took part in on Wednesday. Wednesday was High Point University's annual spring concert, and this years artist was Corey Smith.
If you are not familiar of Corey Smith, he is a great music artist raised in Georgia. He writes his own music and basically sings about his daily life with a great Southern feel.
Myself and Jeremy had the great opportunity of meeting Corey Smith before the concert. He's a very nice guy, down to earth, and definitely knows how to show Southern hospitality.
We had the pleasure of presenting him with some great Port Southern gifts, and even got his autograph on one of our Pineapple Twill Hats.
It was an awesome night that was capped off with some great music!
